Write Drunk, Edit Sober

Apparently Ernest Hemingway never wrote the famous line, but in a way, I still follow it. I sit at my typewriter, typing feverishly while the feeling is still on me—intoxicated or not—more stream of consciousness than craft. Later, when the emotion has settled and my mood has improved, I move to the computer and figure out what I was trying to say.
